The festival was established and launched in 2008 and is already the leading festival of Ilocos Sur under the leadership of then Governor Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano to honour the 190th foundation day of Ilocos Sur as separate province through the approval of a Spanish Royal Decree on February 2, 1818. Equal

      EQUAL RIGHTS. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

As a tutor I have a responsibility and a duty of care to all learners who participate in the course to ensure that I am able to promote inclusion, equality and diversity for all learner and those attending in the future. To be able to explain this I firstly need to explain what is meant by each area.

To promote inclusion means that I as a tutor when planning and delivering sessions I need to include everyone in the learning scheme to ensure that no matter what each learner’s ability is they are fully included and can participate. Inclusion is seen as a universal human right. The aim of inclusion is to embrace all people irrespective of race, gender, disability, medical or other need. It is about giving equal access and opportunities and getting rid of discrimination and intolerance (removal of barriers). It affects all aspects of public life. Inclusion today is more widely thought of as a practice of ensuring that people in organisations, feel they belong, are engaged, and connected through their work to the goals and objectives of the department. Equality and Diversity promotes that everyone has a human right be equal and have the opportunity to achieve their potential, free from prejudice and discrimination.

Under the Equal Opportunities Act we have to ensure equality and diversity to all learners and staff. This means that the environment where the teaching is taking place promotes equality and diversity. Diversity is the acceptance or promotion of multiple ethnic cultures, applied to the demographic make-up of the local area.

I do not discriminate against anyone because of their: age; gender; race, colour, ethnic, national, cultural or social origin; disability; religion and belief, or non-belief; marital status, family circumstances or caring responsibilities; sexual orientation and class. All disabled people from human rights and equality prospective have the right to be included in all courses.

English Olympics

       Going  Global to English Language\
   English as a World Language
The English language is the most popular language in the world. This is because of many reasons which include the that fact that it is the international language which is used between states. In many countries located in Asia children begin to learn English from elementary school. They will usually study for more than three hours a week studying English (Advice for you, 2010).
For some time people thought that artificial languages could be used however a total of 650 languages have been tried and also failed. Esperanto was the most successful language from amongst these (Wikipedia, 2011). There was a though at one point that the language could would become global however this was not the case. On the other hand English has gained popularity and millions of people across the world speak it because of many reasons. These include listening to music, literature, gaining social status, improve job possibility. It is also used on internationally for many reasons, this is includes pilots and air traffic control, international policing, court cases etc. People also use English when on holiday as a second language even when they go to countries that have a different first language. Entertainment is also an important area because four or five songs from the top ten of many countries are sung is English. There is also an international university which can be accessed through satellite will also broadcast in English. Education is one of the main platforms used to teach the English language and countries have changed their education methods to facilitate the learning of English. People can also learn English through other means such as watching movies from Hollywood.

My Teacher- My Hero
In my 16 years existence in life, other than my parents, she is the one who thought me that nothing is impossible if I just believe in it that’s her, my teacher-my hero. She is the one who thought me to be strong in times of failures and never give up the things I wanted most in life, my dreams. There is one phrase, given by my teacher that I will never forget “keep looking forward”, that phrase encourages me all the time and reminds me to continue looking forward whatever might happen and will happen to me. Even when I am down she cheers me up and encourages me to finish what I have started. I am very proud to describe my favourite teacher to all of you and will share what I have learned from her because she is my teacher and my hero.
She has the most beautiful personality I ever encountered. I am proud to say that she is beautiful inside and out. She has two small brown sympathetic eyes that showing his tender loving care to us, a pointed nose, and a red rosy lip. She has a short black shiny hair and brown Filipina complexion. My teacher is a very good example in her young age. She graduated college without having any single affair to anyone that resulted to be a Summa Cum Laude in our school. She is a very good speaker, listener, and adviser. All students are inspired because of her. She is my English teacher and the one who trained me to be a good writer. During those days, I am extremely inspired to write to the fullest. Writing different articles and interviewing people older than me is challenging. I learned so much about her and about life.
I am very thankful having my teacher because of her I am enlightened to do the job what I must do and be responsible every time. For me, the word teacher stands for the one who Teach us, Encourage us, Aspire us, Care for us, Help us, Enhance us and Reminds us who we are and what we are. My teacher may not be wonder girl who has a super natural powers or
